Solid Die Kit

The Solid Die Kit allows you to extrude solid cylinders to use for handle pulling, coil building, or anything else you need from this shape.  There are four sizes in the kit: 1”, .75”, .625”, and .5”.  The kit comes with a funnel shape that helps the clay glide through the extruder, like butter!

Precision Radius Extrusion Dies - Very strong and smooth material allows the clay to move through the die into compression & flow out so you can work directly out of the extruder without sharp edges that could make your extrusion fail.

Highest quality material available - Durable & tough, made to engineering standards & precision.

Water- and corrosion-resistant - This tool should provide a lifetime of service.

A note from Michael: "My philosophy is that I can make any shape from a round shape & that a round extrusion makes the most consistent and strongest base for making almost anything. Working from my round extrusion, I can pull the clay (in the same way you would pull when making a handle) & transform the round cylinder into a square or rectangular extrusion. This is particularly useful when I am making many different components for a sculpture. When the whole sculpture is completed you would never guess that all the individual components came out of a round extruder. The possibilities are endless."
